Luke is fielding during warm-up. He bats first in the line-up. It makes me nervous that he leads off, but he seems to really enjoy going first and getting the ball game started. Today he hit a single, grounded out, and struck out once. He did much better hitting last week. However, Luke turned on the defense this week. He helped the team get lots of outs.
But I think that his absolute, favorite part of the game is the black-sun-deflecting smudges under his eyes. He feels like he is in the big league with war-paint on :) He even left it on to do chores. See pictures below.
