There is a new sculpture at one of the entrances to the ballpark of the man from Brownwood that died from injuries sustained when he fell trying to catch a home run ball.
Its always fun to see what the rookies have to wear on the way to the bull pen. This is Robbie Ross, a rookie pitcher, wearing a straw cowboy hat and carrying a horsey backpack and vest. We were sitting at the left field foul pole so this was on the opposite side of the ball park from us and this was as close as my zoom lens could get.
Josh Hamilton played left field, right by our seats. He hit a home run during the game. It was fun to hear all the Rangers fans boo C.J. Wilson, who was a pitcher for the Rangers last year, but is now playing for the Angels. The fans also booed Albert Pujoles every time he was at bat.
Ian Kinsler is so fun to watch. He plays second base and it so fast. He is always trying to steal bases.
