1st soccer game of the season

This weekend came with a lot of "firsts"--
First game with new uniforms - Abilene Heat went from mostly orange uniforms to mostly black.  I must say the new uniforms are awesome. 

Tonia and Reese can into town this weekend for Avery's birthday party.  They came to watch Luke's first soccer game of the season. 

First game playing U-10 - The boys moved up ahead of schedule in order to start playing on the bigger field with older kids.  Here is Luke throwing the ball in. 

Luke got so close to scoring a goal, but waited just a hair too long to get the shot off.  The other teams goalie was really good, I bet he stopped 10-15 shots. 

Luke had left his hat at Garrett's house and so Rachel brought it to the game.  Avery and Reagan had a fun time on the sidelines playing with the hat during the game.  It is amazing how an ordinary hat can become a fun toy to little girls who get bored watching their brothers play soccer.
